In order for your dog to be an enjoyable family companion, proper pet behavior is necessary. Experience has shown us that in order for your dog to be successfully taught, training has to be a fun, rewarding, and positive experience for everyone. Our objective is to motivate your dog to be eager and happy to please you, because he wants to, not because he has to.

Our training will achieve this goal through praise, positive reinforcement, clicker training, guidance, and most of all by making our training FUN for you and your dog. We will teach you how to motivate and guide your dog to learn obedience for life.

We are committed to humane and gentle training methods that will quickly and easily get your dog to perform the desired behavior and respond to a variety of commands willingly.

Your Pooch Will Learn: Placemat, sit, down, come, how to walk on a loose leash, hand target, drop it, leave it, wait at doors, name recognition and more. On week six we test every dog on AKC Puppy Star Skills.

You Will Learn: How to have fun and train your dog at the same time, along with how to handle common problem behaviors. We want to give you and your dog a way to communicate in a positive way when tackling everyday life.

This is a 6-week course that works on more advanced behaviors than basic obedience class, new cues and new objects. It is for any dog who has completed Basic Obedience and for any owner who is looking for better manners from their smart pup. Canine Good Citizen test is given on graduation day.

Drop-off training includes one-on-one training for your dog with a certified trainer all day. If your dog is a daycare dog here with us, then daycare is included at no extra cost. At the end of the day, a trainer will spend 30 minutes privately with you and your dog to go over everything they have learned that day and to teach you what they know and how to apply this at home. Our training programs are 100% positive and include clicker training. We want your dog to have an enjoyable training experience and learn what you need them to know to be a good citizen.

Boarding Training works the same as drop-off training, except that your dog will stay with us during the training process. Training price does not include boarding.

Drop-off Training Programs

Program #1 (The Basics) 6 days –Skills Introduced: Loose Leash Walking, Sit, Down, Touch and Name Recognition (dog giving attention when name is given).
We also work on teaching your dog to offer voluntary attention to their handler and other appropriate behaviors. (price doesn’t change)

Price: $750 for 6 days. Also includes 2 private 1 HOUR follow-up appointments that must be used within 3 weeks.

Program #2 (Duration) 11 days – Skills Introduced: Come, Place, Release Cue, Drop It, and Long Duration with Stationary Cues. Refresh previous skills from program #1.

Price:$1100 for 11 days. Includes 4 private 1-hour follow-up appointments that must be used within 2 months.

Program #3 (Distance) 21 days – Skills Introduced: Heel, Stand, Wait at a Door, and Leave It. We will also teach hand signals for Sit, Down, Stand, Heel, Come and Place. Refresh previous skills from programs #1 and #2.

Price: $1890 for 21 days. Includes 6 private 1-hour follow-up appointments that must be used within 3 months.

Intermediate Training for 15 days – Skills Introduced: Heel, Stay, Wait, Station, Come, Leave-It (2) treats on the ground, working previous skills to fluency by more distractions, requesting longer duration and further distance, crowds, noises, and calm (walk by another dog), duration and distance on stationary behaviors.

Upon completion, we will run the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.

Price: $1350. Includes 1 private 1-hour follow-up appointment to prep and test for Canine Good Citizen.

Therapy Dog Training for 15 days – This program is designed to teach the behaviors needed to pass the Therapy Dog International Test. In addition, your dog will be tested for AKC Canine Good Citizen, Canine Community, Canine Urban. Once these tests are done, we will schedule the TDI test.

These 15 days are in addition to our Obedience Program #3 or passing basic and intermediate obedience class as well as a training evaluation.

Price: $1500 for 15 days of training. Includes 2 private 1-hour appointments to prep for TDI test.

Training + Boarding is also available so that your dog stays with us during the training process. Training price does not include boarding.

Agility is a fun and interactive way for you to bond with your furry friend! These classes are a wonderful way to help boost your dog’s confidence, no matter their age. Both Beginner’s and Advanced Agility are 4 weeks long and are held in our Astroturf yards. Whether your dog was built for agility or not, this class won’t disappoint! We work on introducing every object slowly to encourage precision and confidence when out on the course.

Canine Conditioning and Enrichment Training is for a dog that needs something to do with their day. A happy dog is a dog that is learning and growing and having fun. A typical day would include confidence building, strength, coordination, mental focus and following direction. We have an endless supply of fun, enriching things to teach your dog. Benefits for humans: We will work with your dog’s mind and body so that at the end of your busy day, you can relax along with your dog.

Object Socialization: While in puppy pre-school, your dog will encounter many things they will need in order to be properly socialized. They will get to meet and greet a variety of different ages of people and puppies. Handling Exercises: During this time, we will socialize your puppy with other people and puppies.

Your puppy will be assigned a trainer who will send you pictures and videos during the day. At pick-up time, you will meet with your trainer for 30 minutes and hear about your pup’s day.
Each day will be different while your puppy is here. Activities for the day may include:

We will evaluate your candidate for therapy requirements and, if met, we will start an individual program for that Team. Dogs must have previous obedience training in either basic and intermediate obedience, or 21-day drop-off training program.

• Setting up a specific program for you and your dog’s needs
• Training focused on advanced obedience/manners
• 15 days total, 3 days a week drop off

Having your dog therapy tested is an incredible way to not only prove how well-adjusted and well-mannered your dog is, but it gives you and your dog the wonderful opportunity to impact the lives of others in our community. Once dog and owner have passed TDI’s rigorous test, dogs are permitted into certain hospitals, assisted living homes, schools and libraries to visit the people within them.

The class is 5 weeks long with the first 4 weeks consisting of prepping dogs and owners for the Therapy Dogs International test, and the 5th week actually testing the dogs with a certified TDI evaluator.

School therapy dogs: Our training programs are 100% positive and include clicker and verbal marker training. Our goal is for these dogs to have an enjoyable training experience and learn what you need them to know to be a successful school therapy dog team.

Options for Therapy Dog Program

Option 1: 
Your organization will provide a candidate(s) for your therapy team (i.e. a staff’s personal dog). We will evaluate your candidate for therapy requirements, and if met, we will start an individualized program for that Team.

Training Consists of:

• 30 days in our training facility. Your dog will be put on a schedule and will come into our facility 3 days a week. For the rest of the week, the owner is responsible for reinforcing the training at home.
• At the end of each day, the owner is responsible for meeting with their trainer for a 30-minute private appointment.
• 4 visits to your school to proof the training.
• Training for your teachers in the school and a video for the students.
• Training includes 6 follow-up visits that can be in our facility or in your school.
• Unlimited phone calls and emails with your trainer.

Option 2:
We will pick a breed and a breeder for you. We will then select a suitable puppy based on careful evaluation and testing. Following the selection, our team member will raise that puppy for 10 months while working on all the necessary behaviors that the dog will need to become a successful therapy dog. At the end of this 10-month period, you will receive the dog, and your designated team member will start their training with us.

Training Consists of:

• Raising the puppy, potty training, socialization in school, obedience training.
• Once you pick the puppy up, we will fully train the owner/team member.
• 4 visits to the school to proof the training.
• Training for the teachers and a video for the students.
• 6 follow-up 1-hour appointments in our facility or in your school.
• Unlimited phone calls and emails with your trainer.

One of the big concerns that owners and dogs run into throughout their lives is fear and anxiety related to the grooming process, sometimes so much so that drastic measures have to be taken to properly care for the pet. We know that the best way to avoid anxiety and fear in these situations is prevention. This class gives owners the tools to create happy and confident dogs at the groomer from a young age to prevent fearful and aggressive adult dogs. Each week covers a different topic. Registration each week is required.

Topics include:

• Understanding canine body language
• Preventing fear and aggression at the groomer
• Desensitization and counter-conditioning to things related to grooming
• Consent cues

This is offered 2 ways:

Daily Drop Off: $70 per day, includes 4 training sessions with the trainer and a 30-minute follow-up appointment with the client and dog at the end of the day. 

3 Week Group Class: $195. Call for start dates.

Our 6-week-long Quirky K-9s class is built to instill confidence in both dog and owner when encountering things that cause their dogs anxiety or frustration. This class will leave owners with the tools and skills to work their dog through dog and human-directed reactivity.

Class: 1 hour per week for 6 weeks. Space is limited to 4 dogs per class, so call to reserve your spot.

This 4-week course is for all dogs who have previously completed our Foundation QK9s course and who are looking to use their skills in new environments and with new triggers. We all want that companion who can go anywhere and do anything with us. Owning a dog that is uncomfortable around other people and dogs can make that hard to do. Our goal for this class is to give dogs and owners something fun to do with their normally reactive dog. This 4-week agility course will cover all the same equipment that is normally covered in our beginner’s agility course, but will have fewer dogs that we will rotate in and out of the agility yard.

Coming to the vet can be an incredibly stressful thing for most dogs. For some dogs just walking into the building can cause an onset of fear and apprehension, not to mention the stress that’s caused once the veterinarian starts to poke and prod in places that aren’t comfortable for the dog. Behavior modification is a wonderful way to teach your dog that not only do visits to the hospital and groomers not have to be so scary, it can actually be a lot of fun!

We use purely positive training techniques that gradually and comfortably get your dog used to the things that would normally cause signs of fear and possibly even aggression.

This program includes an entire day of training as well as a half hour of privatized time with our certified trainer to go over what needs to be worked on at home.
