Boarding your dog is a convenient way to ensure they are properly cared for when you cannot do it. Whether you are going on vacation or having a medical procedure, you can depend on boarding facilities to keep your pet safe while you’re gone. If you will be boarding your dog for the first time, this guide will help you (and your pup) prepare:

Your Dog Will Have a Great Time

The first thing to know about pets who are boarded is that they will feel safe, loved, and have plenty of opportunities for fun. The facility is staffed by people who love animals and want to make sure they have everything they need while their humans are away. The animals we board get plenty of love and attention, chances to play with other boarders, and dedicated meal times. Your dog will definitely miss you, but they’ll be able to focus on having a good time until you return.

You Don’t Need to Bring Anything

Our boarding facility has everything your dog needs to be comfortable throughout the duration of his or her stay. There is nothing you need to bring with you when you drop your pet off in our care. If your pet has a special diet, we can accommodate that as long as you bring the food. We ask that you leave toys, beds, and blankets at home. When pets enjoy the ones we provide, they are less likely to become territorial over certain items like they might with their own.

You Need to Update Certain Vaccines

For the safety of everyone in our boarding facility, we require up-to-date vaccines. These include:

  • Rabies (after 4 months of age)
  • Distemper combo
  • Flu
  • Bordetella
  • Leptospirosis

We also require annual negative heartworm tests and two negative parasite screenings per year.

We Cater to Your Dog’s Needs

Each dog has a unique personality. Some dogs will love to play with other animals during daycare (group play). Others prefer to be alone with occasional human attention (playtimes). We work hard to cater to your pet’s needs to ensure they feel as comfortable as possible while staying with us.

You Can Check in On Your Dog

We know it can be hard to leave your pets (even for a short time). We are happy to have you call and check in on your pet when you need to. We also have a SmugMug photo and/or video package available for just $7.50 a day.

Our Space Is Very Safe and Sanitary

We do everything we can to provide a clean, safe space for the pets who board with us. Our common areas are sanitized twice every day. Each pet gets their own kennel, and we do not admit animals that are showing outward signs of illness. Our veterinary hospital is right next door in case of health issues. Our team of trainers advises the boarding team in case of any behavioral issues.

If you’re boarding your dog for the first time, check out our very extensive Boarding FAQs. Almost every question you can think of is answered there.
